Courtni is the best 4-square player in the world. If she was playing 4-square and wanted to get someone out, she just needed to point her finger at them when the ball was in her square and the ball will automatically bomb 50 feet in the air!!
One day it was the official 4-square tournament in school. Courtni wanted to enter it, so she did. She needed to practice with somebody but, she didn’t have a brother or a sister. Suddenly Courtni thought of an idea. She went to her dad who was a scientist, and he built her a robot named Patty. Patty knew how to play 4-square too. She practiced day and night.
The next day she found out that Bill Bottomsbooth was in the tournament, and she got scared. Bill was ALWAYS in server square at recess. His plan was to poke a tiny hole in the ball, and on the day of the tournament, it would have been deflated and Courtni wouldn’t have been able to serve or hit the ball.
It was the day of the tournament, and Courtni was very nervous.
“Round 1!!”the judge yelled. Courtni held the ball and served it. The ball was deflated sp she hit her own square!!!
“Oh no!!! What happened?” said Courtni. Then she saw Bill laughing. Now she knew what was going on. She said,”I would like a replacement, that person will be Patty! My robot!”
“Courtni, are you sure?”said Patty in a robotic voice.
“Yes!! Of course I am! I mean you have an extra 4-square ball in your stomach right?”
“Yes, but-,”
“Come on!! Get that ball out and play!!” interrupted Courtni.
“Okay!! I won’t disappoint you!!” said Patty.
So Patty switched balls and ran to the court. She served the ball, Bill hit it back, and Patty did a twist but Bill made it! But, good thing fro Patty, Bill hit it just high enough so,…… BOOM!!! She did it!!! Patty bombed the ball so hard that it popped!!
“And the winner is….., “The team of Courtni and Patty Dailey!!!” announced the judge, Coach Katie.
“Great job Patty!!”
“Oh, it was no big deal, let’s go get some icecream to celebrate!!”said Patty holding up the 3 feet trophy.

Oh, my goodness! You should write books. This was an excellent story, very well thought out and full of great ideas like the robot Patty and the deflated ball.
