2 - The Big Game

One day, there were four kids named Abdul, Willy, Lee, and Elizabeth. Today was a big day for those four because they had a basketball game. There team was called Kings, and the team they were facing was Southpole. Those four kids were very confident, maybe too confident.

Those four sat with each other at lunch, so they could discuss there way of winning. They wanted to know who was in the Southpole. Also they had an extra player just incase.

It was time for playtime. They had to wait ten minutes because an other team was ahead of them. Until then, they found a ball, started to practice playing basketball. They were smart because they knew they had to save there energy for the real game.

Our coach yelled the countdown for the other team, and it was time for Kings versus Southpole. We did jump ball, and Willy got the ball, Willy passed it to Abdul and he made it. The losing team checked the ball and they made a shot. Elizabeth checked the ball, and she passed it to Le. Le went back, and he made a nice three pointer.

As time passed, the game was over. Everybody went to coach Katie to see who won. It was the Kings! We were so happy we started gloating to the other team. We also shook hands, and we said “Good game”.

  1. I liked your story a lot. You described the anticipation of the game for the players, as well as the actual game. I like that.
    You write very well.
It was fun for me to see the names Katie and Elizabeth because my daughter's name is Katie Elizabeth. ^_^
