18 – Julie

Julie was the best soccer player in the world. She was in the Soccer Association of Good People. Her team was the Blue Bumblebees. All she had to do was move her foot, and the ball would be in the goal.

One day she heard two players on her team Martha and Jessie talking. Jessie was saying ‘I think Jessie can beat a whole team by herself. ‘ Martha didn’t think so. They saw her and asked her if she wanted to take the challenge. She agreed and they got it planned for May 26th. May 26th arrived. Julie was nervous. Her teammates calmed, and she went out to the field. The team she was playing against were the Whispering Wasps. They laughed when Julie walked onto the field. But when Julie showed what she had, they stopped laughing. When Julie won the game, the other team was humiliated.

For beating a whole team by herself, Julie got a trophy and a record in the Book of World Records.

  1. Nice job with your story! I noticed that you used "FANBOYS" several times, which I hear you have been working on in class. I also like the alliteration you used with the team names. :-)

  2. The absolute best part of this story is the names you gave everyone: Soccer Association of Good People, Blue Bumblebees, and the Whispering Wasps. Those are fabulous!
You described how Julie felt very well. It would be very intimidating to walk out on the field, especially when everyone was laughing at her.
The only thing I would change is where you said, "I think Jessie can beat a whole team by herself." I think you meant Julie instead of Jessie. I do that, too, especially with names that start with the same sound.
    Great work! ^_^
