25 - Inventions

Which recent invention changed people’s lives the most?

In the early 1900’s people made cars. It was made to get people around the U.S. Not many people walked around anymore, and that changed people’s lives forever.

People aren’t exercising by walking, they are taking cars, because they say that they don’t need to walk because they got cars.

New cars have changed people’s styles. People judge people by the cars that they drive. If the most popular kid in school came to school in a uncool car, all of the kids would think he is uncool.

Otherwise their great, they help people get around to far places. What if someone wanted to get to the beach, but it’s 1,000 miles away? Cars are good and cars are bad.

  1. I found your story very interesting. The reason the Amish people don't own cars is for the very reason you say: it causes pride. People think some cars are much better than others.
Henry Ford's cars from the early 1900's all looked the same. The Volkswagen bug-cars (the old ones and the newer Beetle ones now) all look the same except for color. There's something to think about there, huh?
I liked what you wrote very much because it made me think about cars--the good and the bad.
    Great job! ^_^

  2. I love the different ways you came up with how the invention of the car has affected people's lives. Many people don't walk to where they need to go any more because they feel they can just hop in the car. I really like how you brought up how people are actually judged by the type of car they or their parents drive. It's sad but it's true. Cars do make travel much easier though.

  3. I posted that one on facebook, because I love the statement that we don't get exercise because of cars. I mean, how true is that? AWESOME!
